Cookie Notice
Last updated: 2026-05-09.
What this covers
This notice describes the cookies and similar technologies used on cybriq.io. The CybrIQ platform itself does not use cookies on customer endpoints; this notice is about the marketing site.
Cookies we use today
cybriq.io uses three small first-party cookies for self-hosted, internal site analytics. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are set. No customer-identifying data is collected — visitor IPs are hashed before storage and the cookies contain only opaque random IDs and a date.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| cybriq-sid | Random session ID. Groups page views from the same visit (30-min idle window) so we can compute pages-per-session and similar metrics. | 1 day |
| cybriq-vid | Random visitor ID. Distinguishes new from returning visits so we can compute return rates without identifying anyone. | 1 year |
| cybriq-fvd | First-visit date (YYYY-MM-DD). Used for cohort retention analysis. | 1 year |
All three cookies are first-party (set by cybriq.io, sent only to cybriq.io), SameSite=Lax, and Secure on HTTPS. The data they enable lives on the same server as this website; nothing is sent to any third-party service. We also store a few small browser-local items (not cookies) under similar names to record language preference and which UTM campaign brought you in for 30 days.
If you'd prefer not to be counted in our internal analytics, you can block these cookies via your browser settings — the site will still work; the analytics dashboard will simply not see you.
Third-party content
Pages that embed YouTube videos and Google Calendar widgets load resources from those services on click-through. Those services may set their own cookies according to their respective policies (Google's privacy and cookie policies apply). The cybriq.io implementation uses click-to-load patterns where practical to avoid setting third-party cookies until the user explicitly engages.
Controlling cookies
Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may affect the site's functionality.
